Be-A-Buddy Program  Our Dogs Need You
Are you looking for a way to help but can't adopt a dog right now?  Be-A-Buddy sponsorships are an easy way to help cover the costs associated with Canine Rescue dogs while they are waiting to be adopted. All of our ‘residents’ are in need of loving friends to help defray the cost of their food, shelter, and veterinary care. Some dogs have specific needs (and likes!) that a Be-A-Buddy sponsorship can help us purchase. You can make a one-time donation or choose to make continuous monthly donations. With a monthly donation of $25, your name will appear as a sponsor under the dog's picture. Donations can also be made anonymously or in the memory or honor of another person or animal companion.

February's featured spotlight belongs to our love bug Cupid.

Who better to spotlight then Cupid in the month of LOVE. This girl will give you more love then you could ever hope for. Could you imagine looking into those beautiful blue eyes every day. Along with those eyes come snuggles and kisses.

This beautiful girl needs to be the only pet in the home due to a hard begining.
She loves to go outside. In her previous home she would enjoy time in her yard untill another dog would make it's way into her yard, then bully and abuse her. After much abuse she began to protect herself and her yard from other dogs. Which brought her to us. This has not changed her love for the outdoors or people one little bit. She enjoys sitting on the back deck and meeting all the neighbor hood kids and adults.

Message from her Foster Mom:
Cupid LOVES people and just wants to be a big love bug all the time! She has yet to meet a stranger and greets everyone as though they are her best friend she hasn't seen in months. Cupid especially loves greeting several neighborhood 4th graders on our morning walk as they wait for their school bus. She walks very well on a leash and enjoys exploring the outdoors. She loves being outside so much that she often insists on eating on our deck. As much as Cupid enjoys exploring outside, she's often just as happy to curl up in a comfy spot and take a long nap. Cupid had a difficult first several years in her life. Despite this she just wants to love and be loved in return. She does best w/consistent and clear expectations. Cupid would do wonderfully in a home looking for an affectionate fur companion that's ready to explore or relax, as long as her family is nearby.
